In case you missed it

There might be a handful of copies remaining at a few of our nearly 100 distribution points across Wayne County, but as we prepare to unveil the second edition of our quarterly magazine, Eastbound & Downtown, we wanted everyone who might have missed out on the chance to pick up our debut print product to have an opportunity to see why thousands of local residents took one home.

We expect our winter edition to fly off the shelves, too, so follow us on Facebook and Instagram @newoldnorth to find out when and where you can pick up your free copy.

In the meantime, we invite you to enjoy an electronic version of “Spirit” and encourage you to thank our advertisers for helping us make this sophisticated publication possible.

Call it our way of thanking the more than 55,000 unique viewers who have helped The New Old North surpass 2 million site hits since we officially launched at the end of March.

So fill up a plastic cup with some sweet tea or pour a glass of chardonnay and enjoy the stories we felt defined some of Wayne County’s most coveted fall traditions — from high school football and marching bands to JROTC cadets and the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair.

And get ready for our next product — and more stories that reflect the very best of this little slice of Eastern North Carolina we call home.

We hope you enjoy.
