REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
Wayne County is seeking proposals from qualified design-build teams to remodel an approximately 17,000 sq ft building that will be housing Planning, Inspections, Environmental Health, and Veterans Services in the future. The intent of this RFQ is to select a design-build team by qualifications-based selection to provide design, estimating, construction and construction management services to accomplish the renovation goals of Wayne County.
Wayne County seeks to pursue the design-build project delivery method to minimize cost escalation risk, minimize change orders from existing conditions, and decrease the overall project schedule. These renovations will take place in unoccupied buildings. Wayne County believes the collaboration provided by the design-build model will provide the best end-product for the citizens and occupants of our spaces. We have an estimated budget of $7.5 million dollars.
The expected schedule for the projects is approximately 12 months to complete the package of work. The selected Design-Builder will be required to provide a performance and payment bond in accordance with provisions of Article 3 of Chapter 44A of the NC General Statutes.
