lease of county property

The Wayne County Board of Commissioners intends to enter into a lease of the following County-owned properties located at the Wayne County Executive Jetport:

A 65’ x 80’ metal aircraft hangar known as “Corporate Hangar Number 6” located at the Wayne County Executive Jetport, having an address of 234 Aviation Road, Pikeville, NC 27863

The County intends to lease the properties to Wayne Community College for a term not to exceed ten years. In consideration of the lease, Wayne Community College will pay the County an annual rent of $19,200, which will increase by two percent annually.

All persons interested in this lease are invited to attend the meeting of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners to be held on August 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Wayne County Courthouse Annex, 224 E. Walnut St., Goldsboro, NC. At that time, the board intends to authorize the lease of the property described above.

CZ-02-26 Gitto Enterprises: The applicant is requesting to rezone from the Residential-RM-9 Zoning District to the Residential-6 Conditional Zoning District to construct three (3) single-family dwellings on three (3) private lots.
