Morgan named CBA principal

A decorated basketball coach with a history in Wayne County has been named the new Charles B. Aycock principal.

Tod Morgan, who has served as head men’s basketball coach at both Goldsboro High School (2007-08) and CBA (2013-14) agreed to a contract that runs through 2025 and was officially approved by the Board of Education Monday.

Morgan has been the principal of Jones Senior High School in Trenton since 2019 and has been at the helm of numerous championship-caliber basketball programs across the state.

A UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, he earned a Masters Degree from East Carolina University in Secondary School Administration.

  1. Instead of touting his exploits as a coach, perhaps it would be good to know what Mr Morgan’s qualifications are in the area of curriculum and instruction. Isn’t that what is most important thing in an educational organization???
