Two mayoral hopefuls disqualified; field trimmed to eight
Two of the 10 applicants who threw their names into the race for Goldsboro mayor have been disqualified.
“Dexter Taylor and Trenton Haire do not qualify based on their residency outside the city limits,” City Clerk Laura Getz told the New Old North Monday evening.
Both listed Goldsboro addresses on their applications and it is unclear how it was determined their respective residencies were unacceptable.
