When members of the Goldsboro City Council meet Monday to discuss the recommended 2021-22 budget, they will have to decide whether or not to approve a tax hike.
The complete spending plan, which includes a 3-cent tax increase, can be accessed by clicking here.
The budget also includes a recommended 15-percent utility rate hike.
Approval of the rate increases has the potential to jar local residents, as they are already facing a property tax increase approved by Wayne County commissioners Tuesday.
Council members are set to meet Monday at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers.
