COVID-19 cases prompt Wayne Christian to move, for time being, to remote learning

Wayne Christian School has shifted to remote learning after “two, unrelated members of the WCS family” tested positive for COVID-19.

School administrator Paul Brenner said the decision to move to online learning was made with safety in mind — and to ensure “thorough contact tracing” could be completed before students returned to campus.

“We are taking every precaution to keep everyone safe and are using the information from our contact tracing to develop a plan to move back to on-campus, in-person learning,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wayne County Public Schools notified the community Wednesday that individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 have recently been on the Grantham Middle, Southern Wayne High and Spring Creek High campuses — taking the number of “WCPS – COVID19 Alert” notifications over 20 since teachers returned to campus in August.
