Dream ends for Aycock, Goldsboro
Both Charles B. Aycock and Goldsboro High School lost Thursday evening in the first round of the North Carolina football playoffs.
The Golden Falcons fell 50-6 to Northside and the Cougars were defeated 34-14 by Northeastern.
Rosewood, the only Wayne County team remaining in the hunt for a championship, was awarded a bye week with its No. 1 seed and will play next Friday at home.
