GHS playoff game moved up due to weather
The Goldsboro High School football team will begin its playoff run a day earlier than expected, as a storm brewing off the coast of North Carolina prompted officials to move the game from Friday evening to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The 14-seed Cougars (5-6) will travel to Elizabeth City to face a Northeastern squad that has put up at least 40 points in three straight games.
The Eagles are 8-3 on the year, but all three of the team’s losses have come at home.
