Aycock resigns from City Council
The Goldsboro City Council accepted the resignation of District 6 Councilman Gene Aycock Monday evening.
Aycock, who has served on the board for more than a decade, said his decision to leave the council was based on “personal health reasons and other private reasons.”
His seat will officially become vacant June 30.
