A 21-year-old died Friday evening after an ATV accident at Busco Beach.
According to a news release from the Wayne County government, the incident occurred just before 8 p.m.
“The vehicle was being driven on an uneven trail which caused the ATV to pitch upwards onto the rear wheels,” the release said. “The individual operating the ATV was thrown backward, causing him to strike his head on the vehicle.”
The victim, who has not yet been identified to allow for notification of his next of kin, was wearing head protection at the time of the accident, officials said, but his injuries still proved fatal.
