Hundreds of local residents lined Center Street Thursday evening to watch members of A Drummers World perform — and to participate in an impromptu street festival of sorts that the organization’s founder, Alando Mitchell, said he wasn’t really anticipating.
“This is a lot bigger than we expected. We just came here to make a video,” he told the crowd. “But y’all being out here, it means a lot. We hope you enjoy what you see.”
