There will not be traditional graduation ceremonies for members of Wayne County Public Schools’ Class of 2020 this summer, but there will be “live ceremonies,” that WCPS officials characterized as one of “the most unique and complex” plans in the state.
The ceremonies — each school has its own date — will start with a procession of vehicles and end with the distribution of diplomas at Berkeley Mall. Speakers will be allowed to deliver remarks and students — six at a time — will be allowed to walk across the stage while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
