They ran for love.
They ran for hope.
They ran to celebrate courage.
They ran to fight a foe that hits so many families and changes so many lives.
Saturday’s Cures for the Colors Color 5K at Wayne Community College was a chance to remember — the survivors, those we have lost, and those who are still fighting.
And while those who ran through the powder had their own reasons for getting up so early, they were united by one goal — to raise the money that will find the cure that makes sure no one ever has to be frightened by the words, “You have cancer,” again.
